The Gifted Ones Series
The Gifted Ones is an episodic romantic sci-fi series, with each book running 65K to 100K words in length (300 to 400 paperback pages). Each episode is a complete story in itself, but leaves “dangling threads” to be resolved in later episodes. The stories are chronological and connected with recurring characters, so you will want to read them in order, similar to many action/adventure/mystery series on television.

Book One: A Reader
Grace has already lost her beloved older sister. She can't lose her sister's child, too. But keeping Ellie safe isn't easy. There are those who know that Ellie inherited her mother's Gift, and they'll do anything to reclaim it...and her. Going it alone, hiding in plain sight, has worked for them so far, but when Ellie's dreamy crush turns out to be a nightmare, Grace is forced to unbury the past and seek help where she least expects it. Can a whole cadre of Gifted Ones accomplish what Grace can't on her own? Can they work together to save Ellie from her mother's fate? Or will Ellie surprise them all? And with so many Gifted men around, will Grace find more than she was looking for?

Book Two: A Learner
Daniel Holybear, a Native American Gifted One, finds himself at odds with a development company that is threatening the peaceful seaside town he grew up in. When the company’s construction project unearths a mysterious stone tablet, Daniel calls on his Gifted friends to help secure the stone and uncover its secrets. Their efforts to assist him, however, are complicated by a peculiar kinship Ellie senses between Daniel and the project’s lovely manager. As the relationship deepens, Ellie finds her Gift bringing more pain than pleasure to those around her, and ultimately leading one of them to the brink of tragedy.

Book Three: The Animator
Ellie’s Aunt Grace has always had a love/hate relationship with The Gifted Ones. Deep down, she blames them for destroying her sister’s life, so when Doo Clovis, an especially kind-hearted Gifted One, shows her some attention, she isn’t quick to take the bait. When Grace finally lets her guard down and begins to warm to the handsome cowboy and his old-money Texas family, however, she is unprepared for the evil that lurks in the more distant branches of his family tree. The next thing she knows, Grace is found with blood on her hands, sucked into a web of lies and deceit, and must turn to The Gifted Ones to get herself out.

Book Four: A Solver
Lenny Zambrusco is a lonely police detective who can’t let go of the unsolved murder that changed his life. When Lenny’s work leads him to a tiny college town hidden in the mountains of Virginia, he discovers a super secret research project being carried out there. With assistance from Dr. Elmyra “Granny” Mertens and the other Gifted Ones, Lenny investigates the investigators and finds more than he bargained for. But when the whole scheme begins to unravel, Detective Zambrusco must rely on his singular skills and training to rescue a feisty Gifted Solver from those who wish she’d never been born.
